C14500 is a copper alloy that contains both tellurium and phosphorus in its alloy. Though the content of phosphorus ranges between 0.004% - 0.012%, making it a trace element. On the other hand, the inclusion of 0.40% - 0.70% tellurium in the alloy of Tellurium Copper Plate makes it the secondary alloyant that has more significance in comparison to the trace amounts of phosphorus. This being said, the remainder of the alloy is copper. Hence, the mechanical properties of pure copper would be on the same lines as Copper Tellurium Alloy Shim Sheet. So while pure, unalloyed copper has excellent electrical conductivity, the inclusion of tellurium in the alloy is said to enhance this property of the C145 Copper Cold Rolled Plate to a higher level. This Tellurium alloyed copper is also known for its characteristic high electrical conductivity making the C14500 Tellurium Copper Coil useful in areas such as soldering copper, electrical connectors, motor parts, transistor bases, and even switch parts. Pure copper also has great thermal conductivity and can withstand elevated temperatures. Due to this property, the C14500 Copper Hot Rolled Plate is often used in applications involving fire protection.
